A neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning. It helps identify learning disabilities, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, giftedness, and other neurodevelopmental or psychological conditions.

A psychoeducational assessment focuses on learning abilities and academic skills. It is often used to identify learning disabilities and to support school-based accommodations.

Assessments typically involve several components, including an intake interview, testing sessions, scoring and analysis, report writing, and a feedback session. Testing sessions alone may range from 4–8 hours (often spread over multiple days), depending on the complexity of the case.

Please bring any relevant previous reports (psychological, medical, speech-language, occupational therapy), school report cards, IEPs, and completed intake forms.

Results are shared during a feedback session once the report is completed. Reports are typically finalized within several weeks following the last testing session.

Assessments conducted in private clinics are not covered by OHIP. Clients may seek reimbursement through private insurance plans, if applicable.
