What Does the Assessment Involve?
Our neuropsychological assessment process is tailored, professional, and compassionate:
1. Intake interview. A psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) conducts an in-depth interview to understand your history, concerns, and goals.
2. Standardized cognitive testing. You’ll complete a series of tasks measuring different areas of brain function, such as attention, memory, language, reasoning, processing speed, and executive function. Depending on the professional, some tests may be administered by a psychometrist working under the supervision of the psychologist. Interpretation, the conclusions and any diagnosis remain the responsibility of the psychologist.
3. Written report. Your results are interpreted in relation to your personal and medical background. The report includes a summary of findings, diagnostic impressions (if applicable), and recommendations.
4. Feedback session. A follow-up session is available to review your results, discuss next steps, and answer your questions.
